As Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Hosuing and Health, I led a vision where we would use all the councils services together to improve the wellbeing of our residents and I was invited to the World Health Organisation's Conference to explain our strategy.
As Deputy Leader of Sevenoaks District Council I led the council's revolutionary housing and health strategy which was all about preventing people from getting ill and living independently for as long as possible.
I was asked to chair the District Councils Network's (DCN) Healthy Towns and Cities Network due to my housing and health work on Sevenoaks District Council.
In October 2014 I was selected as the Parliamentary Candidate to fight Coventry North East at the 2015 General Election and on the strength of my performance was invited back to fight the target seat of Coventry South in 2017.
To show case our housing and health policy work we invited Local Government Minister: Marcus Jones to Sevenoaks to see first hand the innovative work we are doing to prevent homelessness by identifying the early causes with schemes like our award winning advice service known as HERO.
In October 2014 I was selected to fight Coventry North East at the 2015 General Election. On the strength of my campaigning performance the members of Coventry selected me to fight the target seat of Coventry South in 2017.
